Dr OZ 3 Day Detox Cleanse Review + Tips for Success

Happy Monday friends!! How was your weekend?

Remember when I told you in my New Year + New Goals post about wanting to do a cleanse this year? Well, we did it! My husband and I completed the Dr OZ 3 Day Detox Cleanse last week.

I had never done a cleanse before, and I've wanted to do one for a while now but wanted to wait until I was done breast feeding as they are not advised if you're breast feeding. I choose the Dr OZ 3 Day Detox Cleanse for a few reasons. One being that it was only 3 days, and as a first timer I wanted something easy and not to long.

Secondly, he gives you a grocery list and you just buy the stuff and follow the instructions. So easy. And most of the items I already had in my pantry so it was even easier for me.

A few reasons Dr OZ gives to detox are: constipation, persistent headaches or muscle aches, food allergies, stubborn weight loss. You can read more about Detox Made Safe and Simple here.

Over Christmas I was a little to over indulgent and had way to much sugar, and I wanted to clean out my system and get rid of all the junk and toxins. A cleanse was a great way to do this. I wanted to share some thoughts on my experience and some tips for success if you choose to do this cleanse as well.

First you'll need to download and print off the grocery shopping list and go shopping. You can print it off here. My husband and I did this cleanse together. I shopped for the both of us at my local Sprouts, but you can find any of these things in the natural section of your grocery store. I spent $85 for the both of us for the 3 Day Detox Cleanse.

Tip #1: Prep all your fruits and veggies the night before.
This cleanse takes a bit of planning, you'll want to have everything ready to go in order to make your drinks each day. The last thing you want to do is wake up before you go to work and wash and chop veggies. If you do that most likely you will not want to make your cleanse drinks and not do it. The night before I washed, chopped and bagged all my fruits and veggies ready to portion out them the next day for my drinks. Doing this will make it a lot more easy and convenient.

Tip #2: Eat something light the night before.
Do not gorge yourself on a heavy meal the night before your cleanse. The point is to be cleaning your system so don't over indulge on sugar and heavy stuff.

Tip #3: Drink lots of water.
In the plan he tells you to drink lots of water, I echo this as well. You should aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day anyway. Water is your friend and essential in flushing out your system.
The cleanse actually went better than I thought, I honestly thought that I would be very hungry and just have to "push" through it. However, I was not hungry at all during the cleanse. I felt full and not hungry at all during the 3 days. I will tell you by the end for Day 2, I was craving variety in my meals and even caught myself drooling over a food commercial but not out of hunger just out of wanting a variety.

I did have a headache that lasted 2 days because of lack of sugar and caffeine. Which I expected since that's one of the reasons I wanted to do the cleanse in the first place it didn't surprise me that my body was having a reaction the way it was.

I slept better each night, and found that my body rested better and I was able to calm my mind each night. Which usually I lay awake all the time when I go to sleep thinking about things, but during the cleanse I felt a calmness and was able to quiet myself and rest.

Also, you might be curious about weight loss during the cleanse. Although it was not my intention to use the cleanse as a weight loss tool I did however loose weight during the cleanse, over the course of 3 days I lost 4 pounds. I also want to add that I also did my normal workout routine during this time in addition to being on the cleanse.

I had a great experience with the Dr OZ 3 Day Detox Cleanse it was a great way to re set my body, clean out the junk and start fresh. If you're looking to do a cleanse and ease into it like I was I would recommend this as well for you.

Have you done a cleanse? If so which one? I'd love to hear about your experiences, leave them in the comments below.

Kick Starting My New Years Resolutions with Sears Style

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.

As we wind down this year, it’s time to start thinking about a brand new year, and new goals. This year has already been such a journey in the aspect of my physical health. After losing already 65+ pounds on my journey I’ve been so surprised by myself and my ability to challenge myself and strive for better and better when it comes to what my body can do. With the new year fast approaching I’m excited to make some new goals, and push myself ever further.
 photo SearsStyle3_zpsa7279064.jpg

I decided to get my Hubby on board as well, so we’ll be doing a lot of these goals together which I am so excited about. It’s good to have accountability when it comes to fitness and health. We’re taking the first week of the new year and setting a different goal each day towards a more healthy life.

Day 1 Start a week cleanse from all processed and fast food. Clean our bodies out! I’ve been wanting to do a cleanse for a really long time, but have been unable to do so with breast feeding. Now, that I am no longer breast feeding I’ve been excited to start one. Dr. Oz has a great one, you can check it out on his website.

Day 2 Start a new fitness routine! I’ve been running for a while now and before that I was doing the 30 Day Shred. I think it’s great to continue to challenge yourself and try new things. This year I want to keep running and try Zumba!

Day  3 Pick a new healthy recipe and cook together as a family. I love involving my family in meal planning, I think it helps keep them excited to try new healthy dishes, plus cooking together is a lot of fun.

Day 4 Buy new work out clothing! There’s nothing that helps keep me motivated more than being able to buy clothing in a smaller size. I really love this new shirt and pants that I found at Sears! Perfect for running in this cooler Arizona weather. I used my Shop Your Way Rewards and saved $15 on my order, I love a good deal like this and Sears does a great job at rewarding customers. Sears Style has so many great options to help you get the look for less. Like them on Facebook for updates and more. #ThisisStyle #cbias

Day 5 Add a heart rate monitor! One thing I’ve wanted to do for a while now but haven’t is use a heart rate monitor like this one, pair it with my new outfit and I'm feeling motivated to meet my fitness goals for the new year!

 photo polarheartrate_zps3cb35018.jpg

Day 6 Set new weight loss and fitness goals. I’ve lost a considerable amount of weight and I don’t plan on losing much more but this year I do want to tone up more and make that a goal.

I am excited about where this new year will take me on my fitness journey. At some point even though it scares me to death I want to run in my very first 5K. This is also a goal of mine for the year. I’ve been training for one for the last few weeks, and I’m excited to complete this goal in the near future. Check out the Sears Style Pin board for more inspiration.
  • What are some of your health and fitness goals for the year? Remember to make them small and attainable. Everyone has to start some where, if you never start you’ll never see how far you can push yourself.
Just start.

10 Tips for Eating Clean

Clean eating is simply about nourishing your body and giving it the fuel it needs.

I've been eating clean for the last few months. When I started this journey 5 months ago I was eating as clean as I could for the first 3 months. I needed to go cold turkey at first to rid my body and clean the junk out of it. Now, I probably eat clean about 90% of the time.

Something a friend told me concerning clean eating was;
"Strive for consistency not perfection."

Now, isn't that a good rule for life in general?! I think so. Clean eating can be hard at first when you start. It's really changing your habits and re training your brain on how you eat. So today, I wanted to share with you 10 Tips that have helped me in my clean eating journey. Because if you're like me you want real, tangible ideas that can help you get started when you don't know where to start. The last thing you want to hear is "eat clean" and then have no one give you an idea of where to start, right? Yes, me too.

  1. Ok, first things first eliminate processed foods. This is huge, processed foods are all kinds of bad for you. Read the labels on things, a good rule of thumb is to aim for things that have 5 or fewer ingredients in them. Anything you can't pronounce you shouldn't be putting into your body.
  2. Drink lots and lots of water! I've talked about this before but drinking water is a key to flushing out your system and keeping things going. Plus it's also very helpful if you're trying to loose weight.
  3. Stay away from processed sugars (white & brown sugar) and white flour.
  4. Stay away from high fructose corn syrup. This is in just about every processed food, again read the labels.
  5. Limit your alcohol intake and eventually eliminate it.
  6. Limit your sugary drinks. When I started this journey I realized very quickly that a lot of my calories were coming from what I was drinking. Lots and lots of sugar in my tea, coffee, and soda! Limit this stuff in your diet and eventually eliminate it. Eventually you will re train your body and mind and can have the occasional soda or latte.
  7. Eat lots and lots of veggies. Green veggies are best (spinach, kale).
  8. Prep your food ahead of time. Meal planning is really a big key to helping you eat clean. I plan out all my families meals for two weeks, this helps me stay on track. After going grocery shopping chop up all your fruits and veggies in advance for the week to help you have something that already prepared and ready to go. This will help you reach for healthier options when you're hungry.
  9. Eat live foods, eat lean proteins and healthy fats (coconut oil, avocados, fish, EVOO)
  10. Surround yourself with encouraging and positive people that will help you on this journey.

How to Involve Your Children & Family in a Healthy Lifestyle

Work Out & Move Together as a Family
One of the things that I've tried to do since day one, is make sure to involve my kids in my workouts. They don't work out with me every time but often times Ava will watch the videos with me and do jumping jacks with me or whatever. Having her there with me also teaches her about a healthy lifestyle. We also go on family walks together when we can, we play outside together as well. Just getting your kids up and moving is so great for them. When you and your spouse are dedicated your children see that too and it becomes apart of them.

Shop & Cook Together
One of the ways we involve our children is to let Ava shop with us and help us pick out healthy food options. She loves strolling through the grocery store and putting fruits and veggies into the cart. It's also helped my husband and I to shop together and have me show him labels and talk through why we aren't getting certain foods anymore and showing him the difference in foods. It's helped him get on board with some of the changes I've made in our diets. Cooking with your kids is just fun, I think it helps them to take ownership too over their meals when they see what goes into dinner that evening.

Set the Example
When you eat better and make healthier choices your kids and family will too. I realized before I started my journey that I was making healthier choices for my toddler than I was for myself. I was giving her servings of veggies and fruit at every meal and I was eating crap. When I make better choices in what I'm eating, my kids see that and it sets an example for them in how we eat and treat our bodies.

How do you get your kids and family involved? I'd love to hear your tips as well, share them with me in the comments below.

My Fitness Journey: Five Months In & Hitting a Plateau

Five months. This is crazy talk. On one hand five months has seemingly flown by. Then on the other five months has gone by very slowly and been some of the hardest months of my life.

I'm so thankful for this journey though. It has really taught me a lot about myself. About my will power, about my habits and about what I can physically push my body to do in order to achieve my goals.

So five months in I find myself needing to push myself even more to break past the plateau that I've hit. I assume that everyone at some point or another hits one, plateau that is.

So I've hit mine, and for the last couple weeks I've been trying really hard to push past mine and keep going. Here's what I can say for me I've had to look at the things that I've been falling behind on and push myself past those in order to gain new ground.

One of those things has been changing my workouts, Jillian and I are still tight but I've been adding running to my mix and training with the Couch to 5K program. Who knows if I'll ever run a 5k but I'm really liking this running program. I've never been a runner, I've never liked to run but I do like this program and I'm determined to become a runner.

I've been doing so great on my journey, it hasn't been easy at times but some parts of it have been. I'm determined to move past this plateau and each my goals. The only thing I regret in this journey is not starting sooner. Not taking control of my health sooner, and not caring about it sooner.

I also wish that I would have taken my measurements from the beginning. From the beginning I've been weighing myself and keeping track monthly, but I wish that I would have taken my measurements from the beginning as well because I know that I've lots tons of inches as well. I took my first measurements about a month ago.

Remember me telling you I weighed 190 pounds on delivery day? It took me 4 months of just eating right, portion control to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 158 pounds. That's when I started adding exercise in, I knew it was going to take the combination of working out + eating well to make more changes in my body and overall health.

The picture on the left is at the 158 pound point. The one on the right is where I'm at today, 130 pounds.

left: before  158 pounds                                                  right: progress 130 pounds

I'm excited that I've hit my goals. So much so that it's time to make new ones. Which makes me super excited. I've lost a total of 60 pounds since giving birth to Zane, he just turned 9 months. It didn't happen overnight but it did happen, I'm excited that all my hard work had paid off.

So, if you're sitting here on the fence of your health journey....go for it! Start. Don't wait, you won't ever regret becoming a healthier version of yourself.

Inspirational Running Play List

I've heard a lot of runners say that running is like free therapy, and I agree. When I run I pray a lot, it gives me time to clear my thoughts that are swirling in my head. Gain some perspective about the day and talk to God.

I also love a good play list when I run. And I love finding inspirational songs that help motivate me and keep God's message on my heart. Here's a few of my rotating faves that are currently playing on my Ipod as I hit the pavement.
  • All for You - Mikes Chair
  • All This Time - Britt Nicole
  • Cast My Cares - Tim Timmons
  • Enough - Jason Castro
  • Forever Reign - One Sonic Society
  • Free - Dara Maclean
  • Get Up - Building 429
  • He Moves You Move - Audio Adrenaline
  • Keep Changing the World - Mikes Chair & Lecrae
  • Life is Beautiful - The Afters
  • Live Like That - Sidewalk Prophets

Our Bodies Were Made to Do This.

Happy Friday guys!

If we were having coffee today, this is what I'd tell you.

You guys, last night I started the Couch to 5K program (#C25K). I'm not a runner but after doing 3 months of shredding with Jillian and only occasionally running I decided I want to run.

Let me tell you for most of my life I've had a hate relationship with running. My best friend tried to get me to run when we were in high school. Didn't happen.

When Orion and I were first married we had a gym and for like a week I was a runner and then I went back to hating it! Moral here, I hate to run. I'd rather poke my eyes out.

But, sometimes if you want to reach your goals you have to push yourself further than you've been. Step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Embrace new things. Love what you hate.

While I was running last night I had this moment of clarity as I was running I just kept thinking our bodies we're made to do this. God made our bodies to work for us and not against us. But we fuel our bodies with crap making it so we can't do anything with our kids without feeling winded. Our society tells us we can eat crap and we believe these lies!

But God made our bodies to work. They are like these awesome machines that we need to take care of so that we can be here for the long haul.

I can do it. You can do it. Keep going.

If we were having coffee today, what would you tell me? Have you completed this program? What's been going on in your week?

My Fitness Journey Part 2: The First 3 Months

When I made the decision to change my lifestyle and make healthier choices I knew I needed to start somewhere, small changes led to big changes in my life. Sometimes we don't always know where to start, but start small and start somewhere and see where it takes you. (you can read part 1 here)

At the point where I decided to make some lifestyle changes I'd already lost the 32 pounds that I'd gained during my second pregnancy. Bringing me to my pre pregnancy weight of 158 pounds. I knew that I was over weight and that things needed to change.

I'll be honest and say that first month after deciding to make a change, I didn't start working out. I started changing my eating habits, I started by writing down every last single thing that I was eating in a journal. I wanted to start seeing what I was putting in my mouth. It helped me to see it all written down and evaluate what things I could go without, what things were high in sugar and in fat.

Also during this time I discovered that Zane had an aversion to dairy. He was spitting up horribly after every feeding and I couldn't figure out why. After talking to a couple mama friends they suggested cutting out dairy and seeing if that would clear it up.

Cut out dairy? How could I do that? All the things I love cheese, milk, yogurt...did I mention cheese? They were all dairy. I'll be honest and say that the first week was really hard and I fell off the wagon a few times. But by week two I was doing better with this and Zane was not spitting up anymore, he was a much happier baby. This gave me the motivation to keep going with that for him. He was miserable, having horrible crying fits at night. After cutting out dairy for two weeks he was not having any of these issues any more.

After 1 month I'd already lost 10 pounds. I couldn't believe it 10 pounds just with changing my eating habits; cutting out sugar and watching what I eat. Which meant a lot of portion control, not eating after 9 pm.

Month two; I started working out. I knew I was going to need to start moving my body if I was going to loose the rest of the weight I wanted. I also knew that working out needed to fun and attainable for me or I wouldn't stick with it.

I pulled out my DVD of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and blew the dust off of it. I popped it in and started level 1 that day. Horribly out of shaped, during that 20 minutes I thought I was going to die more than once. One day turned into six days and by the end of the first week I was feeling better and sleeping better.

Within those first couple weeks I was pushing through, I worked out in front of my husband for the first time in years it was crazy. I was feeling better about myself and gaining more confidence in myself.

The last three months I've been working out at least 20 minutes a day, some days I do 45 minutes depending on how much time I have. There are days when I'll do 20 minutes during the day and another at night when my Husband gets home.

Now I switch up between doing 30 Day Shred everyday and a cardio dance DVD. I also run every now and then as well. Even when it's 112 outside I hit the pavement right in my neighborhood. I've never been a runner, actually I've always hated it. Now, it's getting easier for me. It's still really hard and most times I want to quit but I don't! I keep going, because I'm seeing results and I'm feeling better than I have in years.

The picture on the left is me at 158 pounds right before I started a lifestyle change and started working out.
Now after 3 almost four months I've lost 21 pounds. Bringing my total weight loss to 53 pounds to date. It's so exciting to see hard work, sweat and determination pay off in my fitness goals. I won't say that it has been easy, but it is getting easier. When I hit my goals it's so awesome, it's made me want to make new ones.

And this change has truly become a lifestyle change. I hope to share more on that in part three, more on how my changes have affected my family and how it's made all of us better for our health. Thank you for all your kind words on my previous fitness post.

My Fitness Journey Part 1: Loosing the Baby Weight

Let's back up to beginning shall well, and let me start by saying that I have never really been into health and fitness in the sense that I have "cared" or thought to much about it. In high school I was really active, I was a cheerleader for two different sports and that kept me pretty active during the school year. I spent my summers swimming and being outdoors. I've always eaten pretty healthy as well, and never been to concerned.

Then I went to college. I stopped being active, not like I was in high school anyway. I put on some weight during my first couple years of college. Then lost it all by the time I got married a few years after college. When Orion and I got married I was the thinnest I think I've ever been. I was happy with my weight and the over all healthy lifestyle I'd created.

Fast forward a couple years, had my first baby. It took me about 9 months to loose all the baby weight I gained with Ava and feel like I was in a good place. Then I started working full time again and time for working out and eating healthy took a back seat to working full time and trying to figure out how to be a wife, mother and homemaker in all of that. And really, I just didn't care. There were times when I was just staying a float.

When I got pregnant with baby #2 I was already a bit over weight. But in the weeks prior to finding out I was pregnant I had lost 10 pounds. I am a small person in height only 5'2'' I was over weight for my height for sure. I had such intense sugar cravings during my pregnancy with Zane that I just ate whatever I wanted. I gained those 10 pounds back so quick, and really gave myself license to eat what I wanted to because I was "pregnant."

Such a crappy attitude to have, ladies don't be like that during your pregnancy. Stay active, eat well for you and for baby.

Now, I'm gonna get real with you here and share some very personal things here, specifically numbers.

When I weighed in on delivery day with my second pregnancy I weighed 190. Before I got pregnant I weighed 158, I'd gained 32 pounds during this pregnancy. Which might not seem like a lot but with swollen feet during the last 3 months of my pregnancy I felt like I was carrying the weight of the world.

And of coarse you do not feel like yourself just after having a baby. I knew that I couldn't start working out again till I got the clear from the doctor so I tried to make better choices in what I was putting into my body. Which was hard because I was breast feeding and needed extra calories and I was still having crazy sugar cravings.

Zane was 3 months old when I decided something needed to change. I was already back to my pre pregnancy weight at 158 pounds. I'd lost 32 pounds by really watching what I ate, breast feeding and chasing around two kids mostly Ava up and down the flight of stairs all day.

158 pounds was still a bit over weight and I knew it. My body had changed and so I needed to change what I was going if I was ever going to loose the weight I wanted to and make a healthier lifestyle. So I decided that I was going to start working out at home.

I began doing Jillian Micheals' 30 Day Shred at home. The first couple days were so not easy, actually I dreaded them. My first couple work outs Zane woke up screaming from his afternoon nap time. It was crazy but I kept going, crying baby and all.

By Day 6, I was just now starting to get into it and thinking to myself "Ok, I can do this." I worked out in front of my Husband which I haven't done in years. It was an accomplishment alright. I also started to change my eating habits a lot started clean eating and cut out all dairy, sugar, extra salt, counted my calories and started drinking insane amounts of water daily. About a gallon of water to be exact, peeing all the time like I was pregnant again.

I kept going and going pushing myself. Doing workouts with screaming kids in the background is not always glamourous but I got it done! Sweating in 112 degree heat while trying to get a run in, is also not awesome but again I pushed myself and did it. But, buying new workout shorts in a small size is! A small but needed victory.

I'm now 3 months into my fitness journey and have seen great results as part of my transformation mind, body and soul. It really has been a workout from the inside out, cleaning up all areas of my life. I really believe that fitness is much more mental than physical. I needed to get over my mental road blocks first before I really could make this change.

I'm so glad I did. I feel better than I have in years. I'm sleeping better, and having more energy for my kids during the day. Loosing the weight is honestly such an added bonus to the way I feel.

I can't wait to share more of my journey in the next couple weeks. If you're needing some motivation today my advice is to just make a choice and start moving. Find someone to help hold you accountable, a work out buddy if you need to is always helpful. Start making small changes that add up to big changes.

Healthy Living with 4X- Pro B #DigestiveCare Part II

As part of my over all healthy living plans, taking 4X- Pro B has been a healthy part of that plan! After taking it for some weeks now I can feel the difference in my overall digestive health. Taking this product has inspired me over all to start taking better care of myself, because I've been feeling good and healthy in this area it's made me want to start taking better care of myself in all areas.

Photobucket

I'll be honest and tell you that I've been a total slacker when it comes to my healthy lifestyle. I eat pretty well, but I think I drink my calories more than I should. And, by that I mean even though I'm eating pretty well I'm drinking soda, and coffee with cream and sugar way to much. All that sugar adds up.

This year I've challenged myself to stop drinking soda, and add more water into my diet. So far, I've done pretty well, and I'm really proud that I'm sticking with it so far.

In addition to my workout plan and drinking more water I've been changing my eating habits as well. One of the additions I've been making is eating breakfast! It's true, I hardly ever really "eat" breakfast. Mostly it's coffee all coffee in the morning which isn't so good. So I've been trying to incorporate more food into my diet in the mornings. One of the things I like most is yogurt. It's simple and quick and doesn't take a lot of preparation in the morning when I'm trying to get out the door and get my daughter ready too. Yoplait is my fave, and they just came out with their new Greek yogurt which is really good too!

Photobucket

Do you have a fave app? I love my iPhone! One of my new fave apps is the MyFitnessPal app! It's a great little app that I've been using for the past few weeks to track my fitness routines, water intake, and diet.

Photobucket

My favorite thing about it is the food diary tracker. You put in your profile of your current weight and the goal weight you want to be at and it helps you track your food. It gives you a daily calorie intake that you should be having in order to achieve that desired weight. And daily at each meal you track your calories. It has a handy bar code scanner you can automatically scan foods and it'll calculate the calories that way, or you can just search any number of foods and track it.

I love this so much because it adds extra accountability for me. Being able to see how many calories I'm eating each day and where they are going to I think has been key for me to really feel like this is a valuable change. It helps me stay on track even more!

4X-Pro B is definitely something that I want to stay in my healthy living routine, along with all my regular vitamins.

Do you have any fitness apps that you're crazy about and love? Tell me, I'd love to hear about them.

Healthy Living with 4X Pro B #DigestiveCare

One of my goals for the year on my 30B430 list is to establish a better eating plan, and start working out more on a regular basis. I'll be honest and tell you I've been a slacker, and it hasn't been the biggest priority in my life. Getting older has a way of making you realize that you need to take care of yourself the best way you can.

Part of my healthy living make over was to take more vitamins as well, and one of which I've been taking has been 4X-Pro B from Costco. Probiotics are the "natural" stuff that helps take care of your digestive system and keeps everything working. Just like the "natural" stuff found in yogurt!

All I had to do was log into my Costo.com account and order the product straight from their website. Of coarse I did my research and read the facts, compared it to other brands on the market and made my choice.

Photobucket

Then it was sent straight to my door! So easy!

Photobucket

One of my other goals for my healthy lifestyle has been to stop drinking soda, and start drinking more water instead. I've been doing pretty well and haven't had any soda for the last couple months.

Some of my fave workouts over the past few weeks have been these two;

Jillian is brutal, and I pretty much dislike this DVD while I'm doing it but afterwards I'm glad that I did!

Source: amazon.com via Andrea on Pinterest

Pilates, is a low key workout that I really like as well. It doesn't seem strenuous while you're doing it but afterwards you feel it and that's the best I think.

BBG: 3 week Update!

It's been 3 weeks since I started challenging myself to live healthier! Things have been going better than I thought, I've been making better choices when it comes to diet, totally cut back on sugars, and unnecessary foods. I'm feeling pretty great! One of the things that the BBG plan challenges you to do is keep a food journal! Now, at first when I read that, I thought to myself "There's no way, I want to write now everything that I eat in a day. Sick! Who does that?"

Sick was right! I decided to succumb to the challenge and after just a few days of writing down every last morsel I ate, I knew exactly where I could make better choices, or what I really didn't need to eat.

So, the idea of a "food journal" might seem a little weird, but it's a tool the designed to help you keep track of calories & fat intake and also help you to see what you're eating patters are like. It's totally helped me, I am more aware and conscious of what I am eating these days.

After week 1, I lost 2 lbs.
After week 3, I've lost a total of 9 lbs.

My workout plan:
I hate going to the gym, but more so I hate paying to workout! So, I workout at home. Here's what I'm doing:
M, W, F: Cardio dance workout 30 min.
T, Th: Pilates 30 min
Sat: 1 hour walks with Hubby & Bentley
Sun: rest!
What I eat:
(here's just a sample)
Breakfast: toast w/ peanut butter or oatmeal
Lunch: Mixed greens salad & turkey wrap
Dinner: Grilled Chicken Salad or Some kind of whole wheat pasta
I've found the trick for me is cutting back my portions, no seconds-when I'm full I'm done.
More water- 8 or more glasses a day
Reading the labels and treating myself to 2 Girl Scout cookies when I feel like it!

Till next time!
