Creating a Portrait Canvas with Printcopia
Recently I had the opportunity to create a beautiful canvas for our home with the help of Printcopia.com. Decorating your home with canvas' is a great way to showcase your family photographs in a really beautiful way. I like canvas' because I think they help add dimension and texture to your photo galleries and wall arrangements.
With a new house and lots of dreams and decor plans I knew I wanted to start incorporating some canvas prints into our decor. Printcopia is a full service site that allows you to take your images and create a lot of different things with your prints like canvas, photo enlargements, acrylic prints, framed prints and panoramic prints.
Another great feature they offer is the ability to upload images right from you Facebook or Instagram accounts. Isn't that awesome, since a lot of us are constantly using our phones these days to capture images of our families this is a great option to get them off of your phones and make something really beautiful for your home.
They also have sister sites where you can print car magnets, banners and cheap signs. A full service printing site sure to fit all your needs.
I decided to use a recent family photo of us that we took at our family shoot this past October to make into a canvas print. Everything was really simple, I just uploaded my image to their site and followed the step by step instructions. Everything is really customizable and I really like that. You can choose your size, how you'd like the gallery wrap to look, and even how you would like your canvas to be hung saw tooth clip or something else? You get to choose all that.
I was also impressed by their fast shipping, my expected arrive date was 12/7/12 but my canvas arrived early on 11/27/12! You can beat fast and friendly shipping and service. I couldn't wait to tear the box open and see how it turned out.
What's even more exciting is that Printcopia is offering 1 lucky Worley House reader the chance to WIN and make their own 8x10 Canvas print! Now you too can start your own awesome gallery walls with a beautiful canvas! Here's how to enter:

Moving, A New Home & A Dream Come True
After months of searching, and a truly emotional roller coaster I'm so happy to say that we found our forever home. We've moved! This past week and a half has been crazy, the story of this house is for sure one to tell but that will have to wait for another time.
We officially moved in December 1st, and we've been busy trying to make it livable and get ready for this baby's arrival all at the same time. Through this whole process we've been reminded of God's faithfulness to us, and it's been a dream realized since we lost our first home back in 2009.
I call this our "forever" home because it's the home we'll raise our children in, it's the one they'll remember first and it's probably going to be the one we'll live in for years to come. I can't wait to make it ours.
#11 crossed off the 30B430 list, to see the full list click here.
Come back tomorrow morning for a fun giveaway from PRINTCOPIA!

I hope to get a tour up in the next couple weeks, it probably won't be before baby but it'll be soon. We have big plans and ideas for this home. I can't wait to share all my ideas with you.

Baby's Hospital Bag Must Haves
With just a little bit of a week till my due date is here, we're busy getting some last minute things together with life. It's been a busy couple of weeks for us. The first time I went to the hospital I packed my baby's hospital bag by some Bump.com check list. The check list was great, but I quickly realized that baby's don't "need" a lot of stuff. They need just a few things, and most of it they already provide to you while you're staying at the hospital.
So, the second time around I packed completely different. Here's what's in my hospital bag for baby.
A few swaddle blankets are a must, I like to have my own in my bag. I like these soft ones, and I have a few other ones from Carters that I love too.
I also like to have a few outfits besides the "going home" outfit of coarse. I really like these gowns that are open on the bottom. Quick and easy for changing.
The going home outfit is always a must have, I choose a simple heather grey one from Carters with a sweet little hat.
And even though they have all this at the hospital already I like to pack a few diapers and wipes of my own. As well as burp cloths and some pacifiers. The Avent ones are my fave.
What are you baby bag must haves? I'd love to hear them, leave them in the comments below.

Dollar Store Purchases Worth Buying
I love a good deal, a great bargain! I also love shopping the Dollar Spot at Target and my local Dollar Tree and finding great deals on things as well. Today I've rounded up 15 of my favorite items worth purchasing at Dollar Tree Stores.
Some things aren't worth buying, and some are. Here's my top 15 purchases I buy often that have proven to be great deals for me and my family.
psst- last day to enter the $250 shopping spree giveaway is TODAY! Go here to enter!
Some things aren't worth buying, and some are. Here's my top 15 purchases I buy often that have proven to be great deals for me and my family.
These are great, I have bought several of them in different sizes and colors to help organize our home.
Don't buy your tissue paper anywhere else! $1 for 38 sheets, you'd pay way more at Target.
I scored some awesome wrapping paper, they even have a lot of contemporary designs you wouldn't think they would. But for $1 per roll you can't go wrong.
Again, tape for $1 you can't go wrong. Don't buy this anywhere else it's just robbery.
Whenever we have parties, this is where I go. No where else they have all you need and again such a great price. They have a lot of different colors to choose from too.
When Ava started getting into dress up I started buying these dress up necklaces and bracelets from the Dollar Tree. Budget friendly, and if she breaks one I can go back and get more for just a buck!
Great selection of coloring books, kids always go through them so fast and at a dollar we can buy a lot at one time instead of paying $3 per coloring book like you would other places. It just makes sense. Word to the wise, don't buy crayons there they aren't worth it.
Paper towels and napkins, this is where I go to buy mine. Bounty paper towels I love'em.
I love these straw wreaths, they can be used for so many crafty projects. This is where I bought mine to make this wreath last summer.
If you're moving this is the place to go to buy your packing tape. Don't pay more than $1, it holds up just as great as any other brand.
Is your shower curtain liner nasty? Head to the Dollar Tree and get yourself a new one ASAP to replace that one. Simple, cheap and just a dollar.
These are what I buy every. time. No more paying over a dollar for these. They are just as good as any other brand and are cheaper than any store brand you can get.
Need some shelf liner? Go here to get it, simple and affordable.
These are great and I get them a lot for craft projects, hostess gifts and they are awesome when you need just 1 more mug!
Whenever I need these for meals to go, or to take a meal to a family this is where I go to get them. Also buy your tin foil here too to cover those pans. Brand name, $1 simple as that!
What about you, do you love the Dollar store as much as I do? What are you fave things to buy there? Tell me in the comments below. Happy Shopping!

the time she cried through the grocery store.
so a couple weekends ago my husband was out of town for the weekend. it was the first time I'd ever been alone with Ava for an extended period of time. i wasn't worried or scared at all, i knew we'd be fine. i knew he was going to have a great time too.
we loaded him up on a plane, gave kisses and said our good-byes.
there's just some things still as a mom that i kinda dread doing solo with my child. going to the grocery store always seems to be one of them.
so i don't. most of the time, 99% of the time i go by myself to the grocery store. get my things and get home. and in some sorta weird probably mommy way going to the grocery store or target becomes like a mini retreat.
moms, are you with me?
suddenly a lackluster trip to the grocery store can be all that you needed for that day to feel re grouped and refreshed.
this particular weekend i needed to make that trip to the grocery store. so with Ava in toe, i made the tripped. scoured the parking lot till i found the grocery cart with the red car attached to her {her fave, i blame her father for starting that.}
we were all set to go, cruising the aisles, eating our samples of crackers and apples. {thank you grocery store man for the distraction.}
when it happened.
the dreaded melt down over not wanting to ride in the red car anymore. we've been trying out some different discipline techniques with her, a few different approaches as well to how we deal and speak to her. and the limits that we set on things for her. it was like those techniques were starring me in the face saying; "how are you going to handle this?"
no mom wants to be that mom, who's kid is throwing a tantrum and fit right?
we don't want people to stare, or comment on the situation or give us that look. you know the one where they feel so sorry for you.
we don't want people to make silly comments to us and make us feel worse right?
it was like a moment of truth for me in the grocery store when she was screaming and crying to stand firm and consistent in my decision and choice of discipline.
it was a moment of bravery on this mama right here.
to know that even though she was crying, people we starring, and they were probably embarrassed for me.
to know that i was making the right decision for her and for our family.
I'm constantly in a state of reminding myself that every parent, every child and every household is so different. Instead of judging each other I long for a community of mothers who will lift each other up, encourage each other, and hopefully we'll all feel less judgement about who we are as wives, mothers and parents.
so here's my challenge for you today, the next time you see a Mom struggling in that store with her kid, or if they are crying don't stare, don't feel sorry for them. Smile at them, say a prayer for them, and if you feel brave enough tell them it's ok and that they are a good mother.
after all every kid cries, and every Mother needs to hear she's doing a good job.
My challenge for you for the rest of the week is to find 1 Mother, maybe it's your close friend or maybe it's a complete stranger at Target and tell her that's she's doing a good job. Tell her she's an awesome mother!
psst- there's still time to enter the $250 shopping spree giveaway! Go here to enter!

My Hospital Bag Must Haves
With just two weeks till my due date I thought I'd share some of my pregnancy must haves, and other related knowledge that I've gained. These are just my own opinions, I'm not an expert. Just a mom who's lived and learned and this is what has worked for me.
The first time I had a baby I packed everything but the kitchen sink! I literally brought a small suit case. There were so many things that I thought I "needed" but the reality was I didn't use half of them. The reality is giving birth is no joke, you most likely will not feel like yourself. You may or may not feel like getting out of that hospital bed, or showering (don't worry I did). I quickly realized that all those things I thought I needed I didn't, you live and learn and now going the second time around I thought I'd share with you my "must haves" for my hospital bag.

For Nursing:
Boppy pillow- every mom needs one of these or some kind of nursing pillow they help so much
Lansinoh disposable nursing pads are my fave brand
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin cream is also a life saver for nursing mamas!
For Comfort:
Remember when I told you that you may or may not want to move? This is why it's important to choose comfy things to wear that are loose and not tight.
Loose fitting pants- my fave for a couple years now have been these yoga pants from Target
Slippers- hospital floors are nasty and cold, your feet will love you for these
Socks- comfy and soft socks for labor and delivery are a must have in my book
A robe- hospital gowns aren't cute, practical for the occasion but not cute. I wanted a robe I could put on over them and at least feel cute and a little more put together than the train wreck I felt like the first time I gave birth. ;) This one is from Khol's and it's super soft, nuff said!
For Feeling Human:
Besides the normal toiletries (shampoo, soap, tooth brush, tooth paste, etc.)
Putting on a small amount of make-up can help you feel a little refreshed and better about all those visitors coming over. In my bag:
Benefit Bad lash mascara
Neutrogena facial wipes for when you don't feel like washing your face work like a dream
For Memory Keeping:
My IPhone
Canon Rebel
The only other things I would advice is brining your own prenatal vitamins and Tylenol, of coarse they have then at the hospital and will give them to you when asked for, but they will also charge you for it. I'd prefer to keep that money in my pocket especially since those are items I already have. There you have it friends! My must haves for when you're headed to the hospital! What are some of your must haves, I'd love for you to share them in the comments below.
