Friday Frills: Random Frills

*******

Happy Friday Everyone! It's been a while since we had a Friday Frills post around here, and after Wednesday's post I thought we'd better have some fun here today! Today, I have a lot of random frills running through my head that more than likely have to do with pop culture, beauty and being superficial.

Here we go......

Did you know that there's nothing on t.v. during the summer except for The Bachelor and shows I don't watch? Hubby and I became obsessed with watching this show this summer, in just a matter of weeks thanks to Netflix we finished all 5 Seasons. I didn't want it to end, it truly is a wonderful show! It has an amazing message and the characters are so real. I love how Coach Taylor and his wife's relationship and marriage is played out on this show! Thanks Julie for making me totally addicted to this show. Riggins you stress me out, and remind me of just about every boy I went to high school with. If you don't know what I'm talking about you need to watch this show.

And then, I also love this show all summer. Thank you White Collar for keeping me company all summer.

I finally perfected these curls, for the longest time I couldn't get the coordination of the curling iron and ways all over the place burning myself. I know, I know.... it's the little things people.

Call me crazy {OK, just kidding don't call me that} but I'm just starting to plan Ava's 2nd Birthday party. It may have something to do with this, and include turquoise and zebra print! Just sayin'.......

And lastly, I hope your day is a little something like this:

Happy Friday!

Friday Frills: My Deal with the Hubster

Friday Frills; is a weekly feature where I talk about all things fun, girly and fabulous. They may or may not have to do with the following: fashion, celebs, pretty things or all of the above!

********

A couple days ago the Hubs and I had a convo that went a little something like this:

Hubs: I'll make a deal with you......
Me: yeah, what's that?
Hubs: You can cut your hair short, as long as you go back to blonde.
Me: Done!

I've been wanting to cut my hair short for a while now, only probably is that my Hubby prefers long hair. So last Fall I told him if he wanted me to keep my long hair he had to let me do something risky with it like cut bold bangs and dye it reddish brown.

To my surprise, he went for it and I did it!

Now that it's Summer I really am wanting to cut my hair. I love myself with shorter hair. My hair hasn't been the same since high school and now my hair is the longest it's been since I got married almost 4 years ago. I've been itching to cut it short for months now.

And secretly, I've been wanting to go lighter too. So it's a win-win for me and Hubby.

Here's some hair inspiration I've been collecting for such a time as this.

What about you, are you making the cut anytime soon?!? What was your most daring hair tale?

Friday Frills: Have You Pinned?

Friday Frills; is a weekly feature where we talk about all things fun since it's Friday of coarse!

*****

It's been a while since we've had a Friday Frills post! I hope you're having a fun and Happy Friday! This weekend is Mother's Day, do you have any special plans to make things great for your Mom? Is your Hubby planning something special for you this weekend with your kiddos? Whatever it is, I hope that you're blessed and loved this Mother's Day.

Okay, I have to share with you all my latest obsession, and newest find! It's called Pinterest! Have you heard of this? I found out about this during Creative Estates, and I warn you now it's highly addicting and a good time waster.

There you've been warned! Now, onto why I love it so..........

Do you ever see pictures or ideas of great things on blogs and websites? I do. I've got a folder on my computer of inspiration photos of decor, cakes, photography, you name it!

Well pinterest is a way that you can mark or "pin" those pictures and ideas to a digital board and it stores them all on your pinterest account for you to refer back to! It's so fun, I see something I love, pin it and can come back to it or share it with others really easy.

When I'm on blogs or websites throughout my day if I see something I like I just "pin" it and it's marked and ready to view later!

Here's a sample of my pin boards:

Friday Frills: {Cover Mamas}

Happy Friday all! It's our first Friday Frills of a brand new year, let's start it out right talking about some of my favorite things like magazines and fun Moms on the covers! I would totally let someone take my picture and stand around all day and make a good days wage, what about you? Yes?!?

Instyle, is always one of my faves. Amy Adams rocks the cover and there's some pretty pictures of her in a yellow dress on the inside. I'm kinda obsessed right now with that color so I LOVED it!
Katie, Katie......she's always one of my personal faves. I think she's pretty classic. I admire how private she is in a business that doesn't always make it easy and is always classy when the tabloids trash her marriage and personal life.
Nicole Kidman, or Nic as I like to call her. She's married to Keith Urban and that's enough for me to want to be her friend! Maybe I can buy LeAnn Rimes' house and live next door.....I hear it's on the market!

Happy Friday ALL!

Friday Frills: Things that Make Me Smile

It's been a while since we had a little Friday Frills on the good ole' blog here! This has been a rough week for me and my family! So here's a few things that have made me smile today and perked me up!
Little debut of Tiffani Thessian's little one Harper. Caught out & about in LA this past week! Isn't she a cutie?! I think she's a good mix of her mommy & daddy.
Katie Heigl and her Hubby with their baby girl! She's one of those ladies that can rock any hair color, I love that. I can't do that. This week, I read an interview where she talked about Motherhood and adoption. It melted my heart and made me smile so much. I love reading about other Moms' stories about motherhood and loving their children. Even the famous ones! :)

PS- I can't wait to see her new movie!
Have you ever heard of Zulily? I just discovered it today, and can I say I'm already in LOVE with the stuff their selling! Here's some stuff I found for the little diva in my life! These outfits & petti skirts would be perfect for adding some pizazz and personality for your family photo shoot!
And, here's some stuff for little dudes! Isn't it cute? Do you wanna shop at Zulily too? Click here, and have the best shopping experience ever!
Happy Friday Everyone! Hope your weekend is fabulous and fun!

Friday Frills: At the Eleventh Hour

Um, yes it's Friday. I've got about 45 minutes till it's Saturday. Today was just to perfect of a day I let it get away from me and then I remembered that I wanted to share some things with you today, thus I am writing this before Friday is almost over.

First, we're you glued to your t.v. set this past Monday? I sure was. I'd been following all season, mostly annoyed with Ali but rooting for Chris because I liked him so. He was my choice, but sadly these girls never choose who I think they should be with. But, since I'm a hopeless romantic and still believe in fairy tales I think Ali & Roberto look cute together here and hope they beat the odds. We need to see another Bachelorette Wedding on Prime time, don't we? (And Jason & Molly's doesn't count)

Trista Sutter, she's a fave of mine. She's debuting a children's clothing line for My Vintage Baby out right now. Here she is with her adorable kiddos. I think she's pretty gorge, and her and her Hubs make adorable children!
Chris Harrison is going to be the host of this year's Miss America Pageant in January. I wonder if he'll come out on stage and state the obvious like he does on the Bachelor? (Ladies, this is your final rose of the night, er..... ladies you will now be walking in evening gown.) Either way CH will be way better than Mario Lopez was the last couple years!

Friday Frills

Hello, my lovely blog readers. My name is Andrea and I still am the writer of this little blog even though I've been gone all week. Please excuse my absence as we've been moving all week long, taking care of a baby who got some shots this week, and trying to beat the Arizona heat during moving week. But, we're making it.

So, while we're having chaos during moving and stuff is every where I found some things today to distract me from my house and the hot mess it's in right now.

First up, I'm loving Miss Kourtney K & her baby Mason on the cover of this months Baby Couture magazine. I love that she's a advocate of breast feeding Mamas, she's a pretty smokin' mama and her little guy is so adorable!

And today, I heard once Bachelorette & DWTS alum Melissa Rycroft and Her hubby Tye are expecting their first child this coming February! Yippee! They will make cute babies!

And after spending the last 3 days moving we're still not quite done, but all I wanna do is find a hammock just like this and lay in it and do nothing else.

Happy Weekend to you & yours!!!

Friday Frills: Save Money

Friday Frills is a weekly feature on Worley House, be warned these posts are just for fun, laughs and pure enjoyment. There is nothing profound about them, they are just for fun!
****

For this Friday, I thought I'd pass along with you some of my fave sites for saving a few green backs. These are sites I use daily and sometimes weekly for my shopping needs. I love a good sale, and I hate paying retail for anything. I use coupons. Some may find it tedious and annoying, I however find it helpful, exciting and worth it when my bank account stays a little fuller than expected.

Pretty much a website after my own heart! Here's what you do, go to the website search a store and find online coupon codes and printable coupons you can take right into the store.

For example, when I was working on Ava's Chandy last week I needed some supplies. So I went to Retail Me Not and searched Joann's and printed off 3 coupons and used them in the store and saved $15!

I also use coupons every time I grocery shop. I usually pick up a paper about once every 2 weeks and clip away. Usually saving on average $75 for the month on groceries. I grocery shop for the entire month and plan out meals, that how we roll here. Maybe you do it different in your house but this is what I usually do.

Since my newspaper lacks in the coupon department sometimes...I go online and print off coupons from these trusty sites:

Yes, even Target has savings you can print off right from their site and use. This may not be for everyone but I just wanted to pass along some useful information that has worked really well for me and my family here at the Worley House!

Friday Frills: Let's Shop!

It's no secret, I love to shop. Most women do, don't we? One of my fave places to find unique things is meetmark.com Mark, is the "little sister" let's say to Avon. It's a fresh line of young and hip make-up and accessories. I've been loving them since I was in college. I buy all my make-up from Mark. I used to use all Clinique products (and sometimes still do, I have some faves) but for the most part all my make-up goods come from Mark, I love them. They are just as amazing as expensive brands in the department stores but super affordable. And even though you have to ship these products, they always have a FREE shipping special to make it easy on you.

Here's some of my recent fave finds from Mark, take a look you might fall in love too.
Loving this necklace, it's pretty and simple and goes perfect with this dress below:
I love this dress, I think I might have to get it for when I loose all this pregnancy weight!
I also like this shirt dress, wouldn't it be great for Spring with leggings and cute sandals!
This bag is pretty sweet too, I like it in black but it also comes in another color too for those that want a little punch of color!

Mark Jewel, is one of my go to scents. It smells sooo good, and isn't the bottle pretty too?!
Here's some of my go to beauty products that I always have on hand from Mark, it's the ones that keep me coming back every time:
These little gems are called Mark Hook-Ups; you can mix and match these little tubes of gloss, mascara, eyeliner, perfume, etc. The possibilities are endless, my fave are lip gloss. I love having two colors to make a perfect shade. $5/each
Mark Mattenificent Pressed Powder; I found this stuff and swapped it for the expensive Clinique stuff and haven't looked back. I love it. I usually order two at a time just so I can have an extra on hand cause I go through this stuff fast! Love the price too $8!
Mark Make It Big Mascara; love this mascara! It's thick and makes your lashes look full & thick! $7

If you want to pick up these products click here, and happy shopping!

Melissa finally has her happy ending! She got married this past weekend in Mexico!
The always stunning & classy Faith Hill; in a recent article w/ Celebrity Baby Scoop says that she wishes she had a little boy! She loves her 3 girls, but wouldn't mind having a boy in the mix. Tim & Faith make pretty babies...I say have another!
Childhood & High School sweethearts Drew & Lea Lachey are having another baby! Aren't they so adorable! They are already parents to 3 year old Isabelle! Congrats!
