Packing & Moving Tips + A FREE Printable

We're deep in the throws of packing over here. This isn't my first time at the rodeo, so by this time I've gotten pretty good at this whole packing thing. There's always a ton of things that you don't use daily that can be packed up right away. Pack those things up first and fast I say. Also packing is a great time to purge anything you haven't used/seen/or worn in over a year. Get rid of it before taking it to your new place to collect more dust.

One thing I'm doing differently this go around is labeling my boxes better. Rather than just putting a generic "kitchen" label on the box I want to know exactly what's in that box. I think this helps to better identify if you need to unpack that box right away. Wouldn't you rather know exactly which box your linens are in than having to open every box that says "bedroom?" Yes, I thought so.

In order to help this possible chaos I created a printable that I could just fill out and tape to every box I pack. Label it by what room  you're packing up, and how many boxes there are for each room. Then add the contents inside.

Free Tip of the Week: Momagenda Printables



Have you all heard about the Momagenda company? They are a great daily planner for Moms and families. They also have a great planner for students and women who aren't Moms, just in case you think you can't use one of these bad boys!

They have some great online resources as well, which is what I wanted to share with you today. I found all sorts of FREE printable worksheets you can download for yourself and your family including shopping check lists, baby sitter notes, and more!

Go here, and customize your worksheets and then just print them off and keep them at home. I'm going to put mine into a binder at home for us to have ready and handy when we need it.

Free Tip of the Week: Happy {Early} Mother's Day!

{Giveaway} Epic Letter Press from Lifestyle Crafts

I was super excited when this arrived at my door step this past week, I was excited to break open the box and see what this little machine could do. 

Inside were all kinds of craft goodness! This little guy can do a lot, I decided to whip up some quick birthday cards for my niece and nephew's birthday presents. 

I followed the directions that came with the Epic Letterpress and quickly got started on my cards. I picked out a little balloon and "happy birthday" plate and got to work. 

Next it was time to run them through the machine, it took me a few tries to get it all lined up straight. They came out looking so professional and unique. So fancy. 

Here's the finished project; I wrote sweet little messages on the back for them before slipping them into the packages. Aren't they cute all tied up with string?!!
