If you're married it's no secret that marriage is hard work. Before I was married, I really had no idea what it was all about. I knew I wanted to get married someday but I had no idea until Orion and I were engaged and going through pre marital counseling how much work was involved in making a marriage last.

Three years later, a lay off, losing a house, having a baby and many, many memories and fun in between we're still working on it. It's a daily thing.

We are not perfect. We don't claim to be experts at all.

We're just two people in love.

Trying our best to make each day better than the last.

We respect each other.

Care for each other, and love life together.

We are grounded in our faith, it's our center.

And daily were are making an effort to make our marriage the best that it can be.

We're always open to learning, and finding new ways to refresh our relationship, communicate better with one another, and come together.

Last year was the hardest year for us yet in our marriage. We did a lot of counseling and sought after wise counsel from Pastors and leaders we trusted. And, we came out on the other side. We're stronger and better for having been through that experience.

And, it doesn't stop there. I know there are highs and lows to come. And I'm glad that I have such a loving, caring Husband to walk through life with.

Right now we're going through a sermon series called the Peasant Princess from Mars Hill Church. It's an audio sermon series that you can download for free on itunes. (how awesome is that)

It's been a wonderful tool, so far to get us talking, thinking and reevaluating our marriage and relationship.

I really believe that it's these times when we take the time to invest in our marriage and our relationship with our spouse we'll see rewards.

But, what I also love about this series is that it isn't just for marrieds, it's for single people too. If you wanna be married someday you should take the time now to invest in yourself and do what you can now to prepare yourself for that future mate.

We're having a lot of fun, we're growing, and finding new ways to love & respect each other.

So, grab your Hubby or your wife and sit down together over popcorn, snuggle and get ready to make your marriage even more than what you thought it could be.
