{Free} Thanksgiving Printables

I shared this post last week on Mom Endeavors during her Cornucopia of Creativity Series, but I wanted to share here as well.

Thanksgiving is just a week away, can you believe it? I love the holiday season so much. Thanksgiving kicks everything off.

I've created three free print ables for you to enjoy during the Thanksgiving holiday season in your home or office space or really where ever you'd like to enjoy them at. These would also be fun additions to your holiday decor or tablescapes. You can print them off at home on your printer or down load the files and have them printed for you at Office Max, Kinkos, Staples, etc.

Each print is sized to an 8x10 print and can be down loaded in PDF format. Click each link below to down load them and print them off. (please don't right click & save the images, these images have been reduced in size and won't print to scale if you do that.)

A Coffee Date: 11-9-12

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday, hope you all are doing well.

30B430: Celebrate my Husband's 35th Birthday in a Fun Way

My husband turned 35 this year, originally I wanted to celebrate with a gigantic party to celebrate the milestone. But he's not really into parties, so I wanted to do something that he'd enjoy and love. My parent's surprised him with tickets to the Oklahoma Sooner vs. Iowa State game. He loves college football and the Sooners are his favorite team, this was perfect. 

Friday the day of his birthday we took him to the airport so he could fly to Iowa for the game. His Sooners won, and that made me even more excited that he was able to attend a game and truly do something that was fun for him.

Scenes from the Weekend: Nov 2-4

My husband was out of town this weekend. 

It's the first time he's been gone for an extended amount of time since Ava was born. 

We made it through the weekend, I have an even deeper appreciation for him when he's here. 

Enjoy some small snippets from our weekend.

Friday I attended a friend's Favorite Things party, 

it was a lot of fun getting out of the house. 

Some of the goods I went home with that night.

Saturday Ava napped for 3 hours and I was able 

to catch up on photo books.

Sunday, Ava slept in till 7:45 am!

Almost unheard of anymore, I enjoyed making

a yummy breakfast for us before church.

My pretty girl after church. I just love her. 

She picked out her skirt at the store, she loves pink & glitter.

Fell asleep 5 minutes before pulling into the drive way.

It's one of my favorite ways these days to capture small moments of life. 

Simple Brown Paper Bag Packaging

I attended a Favorite Things Party this past weekend hosted by my lovely friend. I wanted to find a fun inexpensive way to package my favorite thing to bring to the party. Never underestimate the brown paper bag. There's so many endless possibilities you can do with a package of these. I decided to use them to put my gifts in to bring to the party.

These little gift bags are so simple. I started with 11 bags (this is how many gifts I needed to bring), and cut the first 4 inches off the top of the bags.

Using a pair of decorative scissors I just cut a line across the top with them to make a decorative edge on the bags. 

Then I folded over the tops of the bags, and then using a hole puncher punches two holes in the middle of the bag an inch apart. 

Repeat till all your bags are punched. 

Then using some fun ribbon to tie my packages together, I cut 11 strips of ribbon 10 inches long. 

Now you'll want to thread your ribbon through the holes. Thread it forward facing instead of behind you, this way you'll be left with the design from the ribbon showing forward like in the images below.

Then you'll take each end of the ribbon from behind and thread them in the opposite holes to tie your packages. 

They will look like this when finished:

So pretty, and like I mentioned there endless possibilities with these. Switch up the ribbon, add washi tape to the bottoms of the bags for more decoration too! You could also stamp the fronts of them, perfect for different holidays.

Pumpkin Painting

I've decided that I love the idea of painting pumpkins more than carving. And it's a little easier to do than carving I think especially with kids. Last year we let Ava pick out and paint her own pumpkin. This year we let her pick out two small pumpkins, one for her and one for baby brother.

I got a little more creative this year and used Frog Tape to make some initials for both her and baby brother. Surprise you get a sneak peak of his name while we do this project. The first initial only! Here's what they looked like before:

Then we let Ava go crazy with the paints. I realized after the fact when she mixed all the colors together that they aren't as "pretty" as maybe I'd like them to be but she had a really fun time painting them her way, so I'll let go of that :)

One for her. And one for baby brother. So cute, I just love it!
