In these scriptures before this Paul is telling the Corinthian people what Jesus came to Earth to do, how he came to save us. And it is by his grace alone that we over come. This is just a sweet simple reminder of how much Jesus loves us, how much he cares for us. By his grace, we are who we are. By his grace we are saved. He is with us.
