Confessions of a Target Shopper.

Ah, Target where all mommies go for a little me time, am I right? Somehow walking those aisles with my red cart and sometimes iced coffee in hand for an hour can do so much for this little spirit.

I've also been known to bring a snack or pick one up in the cafe'. 

* That Dollar Spot, man gets me every time? Does it you? Somehow I always seem to find things that need, and some I don't probably need. 

* Also, for the longest time Ava thought the "Dollar Spot" was the toy section! Sneaky, sneaky mom. 

* I've been known to hide random things on shelves while I'm walking around the store "deciding" if I need to get it.

* Sometimes I stalk clearance items for a few days ensuring that I'm getting the lowest price. This has worked for me on a few occasions. 

* I can get lost for hours in the clearance clothing section, and searching the end caps. 

*Generally, when I walk into Target all sense of time just goes out the window completely.

What Reading Fashion Blogs Has Taught Me

I don't consider myself fashionable my any means. I consider my style classic, basic and simple. Not that that is bad by any means. But, then I see magazines and fashion blogs and I love what the ladies are wearing but never think that I can pull that off too. 

You know what I mean? I've started reading a few fashion blogs written my real women. Women who are not models, have real budgets, and who make fashion a little easier to understand. 

So here's what I've learned from some of my favorite fashion blogs:

1. Take risks. Don't make yourself feel uncomfortable with what you're wearing but try different things that you wouldn't normally and see if it works for you. There's so many times I'll see something I love, but just automatically think it won't work on me and so I don't even try it one. Case in point; maxi skirts. I'm short, 5'2'' to be exact and the idea of maxi skirt always intimidated be because of my height. Turns out I really love them, and I'm not to short to wear them.

2. Layers. Layering shirts under jackets. Or adding a scarf can really make an outfit. Give it a try.

3. Accessorize. Now, this might go with out saying but I'm the type of girl I love accessories but I'm also the type of girl who matches every accessory. Looking and reading fashion blogs has taught me that your earrings don't need to match everything, and you don't have to buy the matching set. Have fun trying things together that you wouldn't normally try, you'll be surprised. Belts, Scarves, Jewelry they are all your friend. Accessories help make the outfit more interesting.

4. You don't have to buy the whole outfit at one store. I'm so guilty of this, probably because it's just easier than going to a bunch of stores to just buy the whole outfit at the one store. But really what's the fun and interest in that? There isn't when you're head to toe in Old Navy. Mix prints, go to different stores to really make the outfit pop and interesting.

I've been looking and looking at the site Layla Grace for months now since I found it. Their site is filled with all things for babies, children and Mommies. They have unique finds for pretty much everything on your list. I like them so much because they offer things that you just don't find anywhere else, and I think that makes it really special.

Recently I was coveting admiring my friend Destiny's diaper bag while we were chatting at church one Sunday, I asked her where she got it and the brand. When she told me she got it at a garage sale for $10 I was jealous! Ava is 11 months old, and her diaper bag is falling apart. Fashion Finds at {Wal-Mart}

Sunday night I had to go to Wal-Mart to buy a new trash can [i hate spending money on things like trash cans] while I was there with no baby or hubby I suddenly lost myself in running around and looking at lots of random things that Wal-Mart had to offer that night. I found a pair of cheap-o leggings a couple weeks back for $5 and decided again to check out the clothing, to see if there were any diamonds in the rough that I missed, to my surprise I found a few things I actually like, and they are pretty cute and affordable to. Here's my finds:

Now, while although I find Miley Cyrus completely annoying [don't tell my niece] I did find some pieces in her fashion line.

this cute little guy was $14

this little number might be fun for a date with hubby at $7

Then I ventured over and found these little gems in the slipper dept. aren't they cute?

And for $10 I think I'd love to have them on Christmas morning.

then I found this cute shirt, and it reminded me of the one Mrs. B was wearing on Thanksgiving.

Friday Frills: Things that Make Me Smile

It's been a while since we had a little Friday Frills on the good ole' blog here! This has been a rough week for me and my family! So here's a few things that have made me smile today and perked me up! 

Little debut of Tiffani Thessian's little one Harper. Caught out & about in LA this past week! Isn't she a cutie?! I think she's a good mix of her mommy & daddy. 

Katie Heigl and her Hubby with their baby girl! She's one of those ladies that can rock any hair color, I love that. I can't do that. This week, I read an interview where she talked about Motherhood and adoption. It melted my heart and made me smile so much. I love reading about other Moms' stories about motherhood and loving their children. Even the famous ones! :)

PS- I can't wait to see her new movie!

Green With Envy

Lately, I've been on a bag kick! I love accessories, I really love purses and bags. When we moved from Minnesota to Arizona last year I vowed to go through all my bags and get rid of a ton of them. And, I did. I kept only the ones I really loved and used, which was about six. 

But, now I'm on a green bag kick. I really want a green bag. I've decided one of these will make a really great birthday present from my Hubby or Parents. 

But I can't decided, they are all awesome in their own right. 

So here's where you come in, weigh in and let me know which one you like more than the rest.

4 Baby Products:

that are saving my life right now............

er, making things easier..........................

um, that I LOVE! 

Most Moms would agree that there are definite needs when it comes to baby stuff, and there's some other things that you don't probably need but are nice to have around. 

These are my 4 must haves, they are making my life (our lives) easier with a baby and come in pretty handy when you wanna get something done! 

Here goes:

1. The Itzbeen Baby Care Timer: this little guy is wonderful. If you're like me you forget what you were doing all the time, "baby brain" is seeming to catch up with me and I don't see it going away anytime soon. This timer keeps track of all your feedings, diaper changes, sleep times, etc. all you have to do is press a button each time and it keeps track of it all. I love this, because now I don't have to think and keep track of what time it was when I last fed her. It does the work for me and LOVE that!

2. Fisher Price Vibrating Bouncer: I use this thing a ton. It's a great help to me when making dinner, or when I want to get some cleaning done. 

3. Infantino Baby Carrier: I think some sort of baby carrier is a must. This is the one we have and I love it! I used this thing when we flew and traveled in June, I strapped her in and carried her through the airport and it worked like a dream! I also use this a lot going on walks with the dog during the day. 

4. Bright Stars Play Gym:  I registered for this and my Sister in Law got it for me, and I'm so thankful I have it! Now that Ava is getting bigger she actually likes playing with this. I let her play and she rolls over and back and forth on this thing, it's wonderful for keeping her busy! 

There you have it! My fave baby products at the moment! This may be subject to change as we move along into different stages with our little one. What are some of your fave products for babies? What can't you live without?

Stalker.

I have a confession to make, I stalk things. It's true, I do. Maybe you do this too. Sometimes I'll go into a store and see something I like/want but don't like the price. So, I stalk it for a few weeks and see if it goes on sale, or I wait for a coupon. 

I've been "stalking" this little green wallet for a few weeks now at Target. Who doesn't love Target? If you don't, I'm sorry we can't be friends. 

This little gem retailed for $14.99, I've been on the hunt for a new wallet for a while now. The one I currently am using is falling apart, but I love all the space and pockets so I just keep making it work. Until, I saw this at Target. 

So what did I do? I stalked it for a couple weeks and then last Sunday when I was making a Target run to pick some stuff up for the church I ran past the purse section to see if it was still there. 

To my surprise it was and it was marked down to $10!! I couldn't believe it. So, I inspected it again and decided that I was going to get it. 

Then, I remembered that I had a store gift card in my purse worth $6 from some pacifiers that I took back because Miss Ava will not take that brand. Score!! 

My total for this wallet was going to be $4! I knew it was meant to be. 

So you see people, I stalk things. Sometimes they work out in my favor and sometimes they don't. But, I just take that as a hint that there's something better out there, a better deal and I'm gonna find it. 

In this case it worked out. 

Currently, I'm stalking this bedding from Target. It's on sale for $40 from $99. A pretty good deal, but I'm gonna hold out another week and see if it comes down anymore, Target is having some crazy sales.

iheart: Sandals & Flip Flops

iheart is a weekly feature where we high light some of our favorite things here at Worley House.

If you know me, then you know I hate to have my feet covered. I love sandals and flip flips. I would choose these over any shoe any day of the week. And, I am so fortunate now to live in a place that allows me to do just that all year round. 

These days, I'm loving the "T-strap" and "Gladiator" styles of sandals. Here's just a few that I found recently that I'm loving. 

1. Yellow is my new color obsession. $22 from Old Navy

2. I love these, and anything with bling is right up my alley. $12 from Payless

3. These silver metallic are awesome. $10 from Forever 21

4. I like these white ones with the little hint of turquoise $12 from Target

5. These are classic and kinda simple with something extra. $17 from Target

6. These are a bit out there, but I love the color. $20 from H & M

7. I love these cause their basic, and they have my fave color to wear pink $12 from H & M

Friday Frills: Let's Shop!

It's no secret, I love to shop. Most women do, don't we? One of my fave places to find unique things is meetmark.com Mark, is the "little sister" let's say to Avon. It's a fresh line of young and hip make-up and accessories. I've been loving them since I was in college. I buy all my make-up from Mark. I used to use all Clinique products (and sometimes still do, I have some faves) but for the most part all my make-up goods come from Mark, I love them. They are just as amazing as expensive brands in the department stores but super affordable. And even though you have to ship these products, they always have a FREE shipping special to make it easy on you.

Loving this necklace, it's pretty and simple and goes perfect with this dress below:

I love this dress, I think I might have to get it for when I loose all this pregnancy weight!

This bag is pretty sweet too, I like it in black but it also comes in another color too for those that want a little punch of color!

Mark Jewel, is one of my go to scents. It smells sooo good, and isn't the bottle pretty too?!

Here's some of my go to beauty products that I always have on hand from Mark, it's the ones that keep me coming back every time:

These little gems are called Mark Hook-Ups; you can mix and match these little tubes of gloss, mascara, eyeliner, perfume, etc. The possibilities are endless, my fave are lip gloss. I love having two colors to make a perfect shade. $5/each

Mark Mattenificent Pressed Powder; I found this stuff and swapped it for the expensive Clinique stuff and haven't looked back. I love it. I usually order two at a time just so I can have an extra on hand cause I go through this stuff fast! Love the price too $8!

Mark Make It Big Mascara; love this mascara! It's thick and makes your lashes look full & thick! $7
