I'm a BIG believer that paint is the cheapest way to makeover a room, or a bunch of rooms. Especially when you buy mis tints & use coupons.
We decided that we needed a focal point, and that we wanted to makeover the fireplace wall. We really wanted it to pop and connect the room together.
Since moving to the new apartment, we decided to paint the fireplace wall a different color than the rest of the walls. We started by taping off the area that we wanted to be different from the rest of the walls.

And here's our AFTER:
We've decided to do a wall collage over the mantle, to fill up the blank space. I love pictures, a lot so it's a perfect fit! We're thinking lots and lots of white crisp frames with beautiful family pictures inside. Stay tuned for that!
We loved the two tone look so much that we took it to the hallway & entry way. It's like a little surprise at the end of the hallway. I love how it ties the living room and the entryway together so they feel cohesive.
